Carrots

This is Carrots and his teddy friend Curly... he is around 4 to 5 weeks old and was found wedged in a fence in a garden in Bradford.
He was taken to the vets by a member of the public who have provided much care and love over the last 24 hours.

Poor Carrots is more than likely going to have major surgery next week.

The vet believes that his right eye has either spontaneously popped out at some point ... or less likely actually never developed.

The vet also believes that the left eye most probably cannot be saved either.

The vets at Bradford Vets for pets will review Carrots on Wednesday .... with a view to the enuculation of the left eye and explore and remove any remnants of the right eye.
This surgery is dangerous in such a young kitten.. not only due to the anesthetic risk but also the involvement of a particular nerve at the back of the eye that affects the heart.
