PAWS AT PEACE
BCWR Kittens is committed to providing the best care possible for all the cats and kittens, however we are often dealing with seriously sick, injured and neglected animals and sadly they do not all survive. This page is to celebrate the lives of those kitties we have sadly lost through illness or age.
Most of us share an intense love and bond with our animal companions, so it’s natural to feel devastated by feelings of grief and sadness when a cherished pet dies. The pain of loss can often feel overwhelming and trigger all sorts of painful and difficult emotions. While some people may not understand the depth of feeling you had for your pet, you should never feel guilty or ashamed about grieving for an animal friend.
For many of us, a pet is not “just a cat,” but rather a beloved member of our family, bringing companionship, fun, and joy to our lives. A pet can add structure to your day, keep you active and social, help you to overcome setbacks and challenges in life, and even provide a sense of meaning or purpose. So, when a beloved pet dies, it’s normal to feel a painful sense of grief and loss.
Here at BCWR we love each and every cat and kitten as if they are our own regardless of their age or the amount of time we have spent with them.
Be it a moment, hours, days, weeks, months or years each cat or kitten that has touched our lives has entered our hearts.
